Torch Technologies is Hiring a SQL Server Database Administrator Near Huntsville, AL
Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company is seeking a Data Scientist and SQL Server Database Administrator who will be required to interface and proactively work with MDA software engineers and analysts to maintain the existing data structures, manage disk loading across multiple SQL Servers, and interface with the SQL Server hardware support group. Candidate will be required to perform system administration activities on MDA networks, to include database design, optimization, and data structures (schemas). Candidate must be able to work individually and in a team environment with MDA software engineers and analysts to develop requirements, design prototypes, and implement key database modifications.
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree and 10 years’ experience
Experience with SQL Server database administration experience to include stored procedures, and data structure design
Experience in managing large data structures
Desired Skills:
Understanding of data layer design, and development for .Net applications
Experience with Visual Studio and SQL Server Projects to include source control of database objects
Experience with SQL Server Integration Services
Experience with Python
Experience with query performance tuning
Experience with Microsoft Access development
CompTIA Security Certification
Working knowledge of the MDA/BMDS message specs or components
Proven track record with working in a team environment utilizing common software source control practices and processes
Experience managing tasks through Agile/SCRUM process using Jira or other tracking tools
